Teen SummitWho: For teens (13 – 18 years old) and their parents/guardians The 2009 Teen Summit is presented by the Delaware Prevention Network Alliance (DPNA), a coalition of 10 community organizations statewide. DPNA promotes advocacy for prevention by implementing prevention curricula. In addition, DPNA provides program guidance and coordinate services and resources for youth and their families in high risk environments. DPNA implement the evidence-based All Stars substance abuse prevention program for youth ages 9 – 14 years old. DPNA Sites: Delaware Parents Association (Dover); Edgemoor Community Center (N. What: 2nd Annual Teen Summit. The Summit is an opportunity for teens and their
families (parents/guardians) to be exposed to current issues facing
today’s teens. Teens will engage in interactive, open dialogue
workshops facilitated by their peers on topics of interest such as underage
drinking and prescription drug abuse, social networking sites, and the

a voice to articulate these issues in their community and with their
peers. Teens will learn information that will encourage positive and
